We respect you and your data

Introduction

Faced with the development of new communication tools, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the protection of privacy. Therefore, we are committed to respecting the privacy of the personal information we collect.

Collection of personal information

During your visit of this website, if you fill out the contact form, we will collect the following information (Contact Data):

• Your name
• Your email address
• Where you heard of us, if you choose to say
• The message you write

Only the name, the email address and the message are required. There is no telephone field on this site, and we do not ask for one.

The personal information we collect is collected through the form — you give it to us deliberately, or we do not have it. We do not use cookies to gather information about your behaviour, and the next section describes what our server records instead.

In further contacts, to respond to your enquiries, to process your requests, and to fulfil our contractual requirements with you, we may collect further information, such as

• Invoice related data, e.g. your company name and professional address

Use of data collected

The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide our services to you. Additionally, we may use the information for the following purposes:

• To provide you with information you request from us
• To process your requests and contracting
• To respond to your queries efficiently
• To provide information on other products and services which we feel may be of interest to you in line with your communications preferences
• To meet our contractual commitments to you

Sharing of your data

We do not pass on your information to any other organization without your explicit consent.

We do rely on a small number of companies to run this site, and your data passes through them in the ordinary course of that. They act on our instructions and for no purpose of their own:

• Infomaniak (Switzerland) hosts the site and carries the email the contact form sends. Your message reaches us as an email on their servers.
• Plausible Analytics (European Union) counts page views. It receives no personal data and sets nothing on your device.
• Calendly (United States) runs the booking calendar, and only if you press the button that loads it. If you book a call, the details you give go to them directly rather than through us. Our Cookie Policy sets out what they set and what it means.

Consent

By accepting our Data Protection policy, or agreeing to do business with us, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined within this page.

Forms and interactivity

Your personal information is collected by means of one form: the contact form on this site.

The site has one other form, which collects nothing from you. Entering a web address to start a Standpoint Scan sends only that address to scan.standpoint.ch, where the Scan’s own terms apply. No name, no email address and nothing about you travels with it.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Follow-up of requests
• Contacts
• Website improvement (presentation, organization)

Log files and cookies

Standpoint sets no cookies of its own. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you to other websites, and we cannot recognise you if you come back tomorrow.

To know which pages people read, we use Plausible Analytics, which sets nothing on your device and stores no personal data. What we can see is aggregate: how many people read a page, roughly where in the world they were, which site or search sent them, and whether they were on a phone or a laptop. What we cannot see is who you are.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, as every web server does. Those records include the IP address a request came from, the time of it, and the page requested. We use them to keep the site running and to deal with abuse — not for statistics, profiling or marketing.

Some pages can load content from other companies: the booking calendar, the interview players, and the LinkedIn feed. Those companies set their own cookies, under their own rules rather than ours. Everything except the LinkedIn feed waits until you press a button.

Right of opposition and withdrawal

We are committed to offering you the right to oppose and opt-out of your personal information.

The right of opposition is understood as the possibility offered to Internet users to refuse that their personal information be used for certain purposes mentioned during the collection or to request that their personal information no longer appear, for example, in a distribution list.

We are committed to recognizing a right of access and rectification to those concerned wishing to consult, modify or delete information concerning them.

Security

The personal information we collect is kept in a secure environment. People working for us are required to respect the confidentiality of your information.

To ensure the security of your personal information, we use the following measures:

• The whole site is served over TLS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit
• The form sends its mail over an authenticated, encrypted connection
• Access to the mailbox that receives your message is limited to us
• Our hosting provider keeps backups and applies its own security measures

We are committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality by incorporating the latest technological innovations to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions. However, since no mechanism offers maximum security, there is always a risk involved when using the Internet to transmit personal information.
